For the CIRSE 2018 Annual Congress, we will be offering a fantastic new feature:

Any CIRSE Junior Member who submits an abstract for CIRSE 2018 as a first or presenting author will receive FREE congress registration!

We hope this makes it easier for IR trainees, residents and young IRs to attend the biggest IR meeting in Europe and help them kick-start their career. Abstract submission will start in early December and continue until mid-February.

Find more information on abstract submission here.

CIRSE is also making it easier and cheaper for aspiring IRs to become Members by expanding the definition of Junior Membership:

Junior Members are doctors who have completed their undergraduate medical training no longer than 8 years ago and are currently enrolled in post-graduate training. They shall have an active interest and/or competence in cardiovascular and/or interventional radiology.

This means that all IRs in training (including IR fellowships, radiology residency, foundation training, post-graduate medical internships etc.) can now join the European IR community and not only take advantage of the above-mentioned free congress registration, but also benefit from all the perks of being a CIRSE Member.

To become a Junior Member all you need to do is log into your myCIRSE account, follow the online instructions and pay the annual member fee of €80. You will need a copy of your undergraduate medical degree as well as confirmation of your current enrolment in post-graduate medical training.

To become a Junior Member please start your online application here.

If you are already a Member and you think you are eligible to be a Junior Member, please contact the CIRSE Central Office at registration@cirse.org.

CIRSE's European Trainee Forum (ETF) will offer a range of sessions and networking events for trainees, residents and young IRs at CIRSE 2018, including talks on career building, international mobility, future IR technologies and many more.

With these new initiatives, CIRSE is further increasing its efforts to support young IRs and attract new talents making CIRSE 2018 the best Congress for IR trainees and residents. Make the most out of CIRSE's offer and join us in building the exciting future of Interventional Radiology!
